Ainsley is not the only horse person in the family. I have a horse too. He and my great dane Ashley are the same size. Small but mighty :-)
Jim was invited to a dinner for Newt and is very proud.
Jim's radio show is going very well. He loves it. His show is every Tuesday morning from 8-9. Well Christmas and New Years are on Tuesdays this year and Jim has asked me to be on his show. He said he was writing a scrip for me so I stay on track. Darn. It sounds like fun. You can hear us on IPOD on Jim's website. This may be the beginning of a whole new career for me. :-)
Jim's youngest Zachary Gibson and his new wife, Lindsay are both in the Air force. Currently Lindsay is in Afghanistan on her 4th tour. Zach has been transferred to turkey and they are finding a job for Lindsay there too. So she comes home the end of January and they move to turkey for two years as of May. We are so excited for them. Jim and I are definitely going to visit.
Brandon's grandfather took the two of us fishing for the day. He hired a guide and we went out on Richland Chambers Reservoir. This would prove to not be any ordinary fishing trip. Grandpa hired a guide named Cory to take us out on Richland Chambers Reservoir to show us the right places to find the best fish.
This lake is stocked with Hybrid Striper/White Bass. These fish can grow up to 10 pounds. They get their size and fight from the Striper and their good taste from the Bass. They are a popular sporing fish all over the south.
Roger and Shirley were visiting with us recently and I just finished downloading the photos I took while we were together. Being the naturally photogenic people that they are, I wanted to share a couple of pics with you.
These photos were taken in downtown Chicago.
Doesn't Shirley look great in her new outfit she bought when we went out shopping?! Great choice Shirley, love the colors. It was fun to have them here visiting. Come back again soon.
We went to reunion arena to see Govenor Rick Perry and President George Bush take the stage for an election eve rally at Reunion Arena. M.C. was Mark Davis from WBAP.
It was an opportunity to go see the President. I got the kids from school and we drove to Dallas. We had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe along with Lee and Shelby.
We had tickets from a contact at the Builders Association. The tickets allowed us access to the preferred seating but not to the floor. We ended up we a pretty good view of the stage.
